Government taking concrete steps to led farmers and milk producers to the market for their benefits: Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries

Karachi, December 08, 2016 (PPI-OT):Sindh Minister for Livestock and Fisheries Muhammad Ali Malkani has said that the Government is taking concrete steps to led the farmers and milk producers to the market for their benefits so that the appropriate ratio of milk and increase meat production at grass root level.

This he said while presiding over a 4th meeting of World Bank assisted projects of Sindh Agriculture Growth Project (SAGP) at his office here today. Secretary Livestock and Fisheries Ghulam Hussain Memon, World Bank representatives Nazar Mehar, P and D officials Fateh Mori, Saleh Mangi, Project Director SAGP Dr. Nazeer Khokhar, officials of Livestock Department attended the meeting.

The Minister Livestock Mr. Malkani while addressing the 4th meeting said that to ensure the proper implementation of the project at the World Bank expectations and maximum benefits of the farmers and growers. The Minister also stressed officials that to achieve the desired results of the project, all codal and required formalities should be resolved by regular monitoring and supervise the project minutely. Plan may be devised proper mechanism of marketing of meat milk production.

The Secretary Livestock Ghulam Hussain Memon directed the officials that to rectify all impediments in the project and is continued, proper vigilance over the implementation and program of the project, till next meeting which will be held in January 2017, progress will be reviewed and achieve the desired results set by the World Bank.
