Glowing tributes paid to Kashmiri martyrs

Srinagar, December 27, 2016 (PPI-OT):In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples League (JKPL) and Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement (JKSM) have said that the sacrifices of Kashmiri martyrs will not be allowed to go waste and their mission will be accomplished at all costs.

The JKPL Chairman, Mukhtar Ahmed Waza, today, visited Churrat area of Quazigud and expressed solidarity with the families of two women who were martyred there due to the firing of Indian forces on peaceful demonstrators.

Speaking on the occasion, Mukhtar Waza said that Kashmiris were being killed, blinded, tortured and humiliated from the last over seven decades just for demanding their right to self-determination. He said that it was unfortunate that the international community never initiated measures for resolution of the Kashmir dispute to mitigate the sufferings of the Kashmiri people.

Meanwhile, the leader of JKSM’s women wing, Ruqaya Baji, addressing a meeting of party activists in Civil Lines area of Srinagar said that during the ongoing uprising Kashmiri women exhibited their valour and deep sentiments for freedom. She paid rich tributes to the Kashmiris who attained martyrdom during the uprising.

She also appealed to the world community to take cognizance of highhandedness and atrocities being perpetuated by Indian forces on the people of the occupied territory.
