Gilani pays rich tributes to Kupwara, Sopore martyrs

Srinagar, August 04, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Syed Ali Gilani has paid rich tributes to the youth martyred by Indian troops in Kupwara and Sopore. Syed Ali Gilani in a statement issued in Srinagar termed Kashmir as bone of contention between the two nuclear powers of the region, Pakistan and India. He regretted the stubborn postures of India to deal this political issue with its military might.

The APHC Chairman expressed grave concern over the rampant use of oppressive and suppressive measures by the Indian forces during the cordon and search operations. People are subjected to physical torture, intimidation, mental agony and humiliation during the operations, he added.

Condemning the use of military might against the civilian people in the garb of Indian Independence Day preparations, Syed Ali Gilani expressed his anguish for creating a graveyard-like silence in the nook and corner of the territory ahead of 15th August.

Meanwhile, amid a strong protest march organized by All Parties Hurriyat Conference at Hyderpora Chowk, its senior leaders led by Secretary General Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi sent a loud and clear message to the Indian authorities that the people of Kashmir will resist, to their full capacity, against the fascist ploy to change the Muslim majority status of the territory. The leaders cautioned the Indian leadership that the people of Kashmir will never give up their demand for right to self-determination, come what may.
