Gilani meets people despite being under house arrest

Srinagar, May 11, 2015 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the forum patronized by the veteran Hurriyet leader, Syed Ali Gilani, has said that although Mufti Sayeed-led puppet regime has permanently imprisoned the veteran leader at his residence but a large number of people are coming to meet him daily. The forum spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that a delegation of people from Kupwara visited Hyderpora and spent about two hours with Syed Ali Gilani.

Interacting with the members of the delegation, the veteran leader said that the border district Kupwara was a very sensitive area. “The communal forces of India have been provided a base camp in the district which they can use for their wicked and dangerous activities. This situation has put a heavy responsibility on the shoulders of the pro-freedom people of this area and they have to be very cautious and vigilant about any anti-Islam or anti-movement activity of these forces,” he said.

Syed Ali Gilani told the delegation that if the Kashmiri people did not rise today against these challenges then they would have to regret in the future and their future generations would get into the deep trouble. Meanwhile, Syed Ali Gilani’s party, Tehreek-e-Hurriyet Jammu and Kashmir distributed relief items among the families, which were affected by devastating fire in Baramulla town. A party delegation led by Public Relation Secretary, Altaf Ahmad Shah, visited the town and distributed blankets, cash and other relief material among the affectees.
