GBLA approves two resolutions

Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) on Wednesday approved two resolutions.

In the first resolution the house demanded to impose ban on open grazing in Gilgit Baltistan. It was tabled by member Imran Nadeem.

Speaker referred the resolution to Minister Law for inclusion in Land reforms bill.

In another resolution the House paid tributes to the services of Late Chief Drug Controller Kifayatullah Khan and demanded to the Government name after Drug Testing laboratory Gilgit.

Minister Law informed the House that Federal Government has sanctioned 217 vacancies to forest department and 184 posts to the food department Gilgit-Baltistan to overcome employee’s shortage.

He said Federal Government has also sanctioned 1464 posts to regularize service of Social Action programme school teachers.

Responding to a question law minster said that the contract period of chief election commission and Director General Rescue 1122 has been terminated and summery in this regard has been moved to the authorities.

The House will meet again tomorrow at 2 pm.
