Funds for Public Sector Development Programme will be released to MPs, NA told

Islamabad: The National Assembly was informed Tuesday that the funds for the Public Sector Development Programme would be released to the Parliamentarians at the earliest and a summary in this regard is underway with the Prime Minister.

Minister-in-Charge Cabinet Secretariat Makhdoom Shahabuddin told the House that he will also take up the matter with the Ministry of Finance for the early release of these funds.

Minister for Religious Affairs Syed Khurshid Ahmad Shah said the government has allocated huge funds to the opposition that has no example in the history. He proposed that a system must also be evolved to revive the lapse funds to complete the development projects.

Responding to a point of order, Khurshid Ahmad Shah said the government is making all out efforts to minimize the gas shortage for domestic and commercial consumers. The Minister said the present demand of domestic gas consumption is eight hundred and fifty Million Cubic Feet that is being fully met.
