FPCCI delegation visiting Bangkok to attend business forum

Islamabad: A high-level delegation of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) led by its President Senator Haji Ghulam Ali, is currently visiting Bangkok to participate in the Asia-Pacific Business Forum- 2011.

The Business Forum is being organized by Bangkok-based United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and Pacific (UNESCAP). The theme this year is Facing challenges, capturing opportunities. Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister Dr. Trairong Suwankiri delivered the inaugural address to the Forum. Earlier, UNESCAP Executive Secretary Dr. Noeleen Heyzer welcomed the members of the business community from across the vast Asia-Pacific region.

The FPCCI delegation has been participating actively in the Business Forum’s deliberations, with former President of FPCCI and SAARC CCI Tariq Sayeed moderating a plenary session titled Can Asia and the Pacific led global business On the occasion, he shared his perspectives on this important subject in light of his rich and long-standing experience.
