Foreign investors asked to invest in Azad Jammu, Kashmir


Islamabad: The AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed has asked the foreign investors to invest in Azad Kashmir which has enormous potential of natural resources in hydel power generation tourism and mineral sectors.

Addressing a ceremony held in connection with the investment in Birmingham he told the Kashmiri business community that government is providing conducive atmosphere security and protection to domestic and international investors in the state.

He said there is potential of nearly 18000 megawatt hydel power generation in Azad Kashmir. Work is already in progress on a few small projects of hydel power generation in the state.

The DM asked the Kashmiri business community which participated the ceremony in a large number to benefit from this opportunity and play their role in the economic growth and stability in Azad Kashmir.

He said there is enough room for investment in public private sector and government is formulating policies to boost the investment in AJK. He said government is also providing incentives to the investors for investing their capital in the state.
