Lahore, May 20, 2013 (PPI-OT): Eighteen hours prolonged load shedding, acute gas shortage in Punjab and bulk increase in the electricity prices is a well planned conspiracy against the Pakistan Muslim League – N. The PML-N chief Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif should take notice of the situation as the anti-social elements are trying to create hurdles for the PML-N new regime going to take place in next few days.

These views were expressed by the leader of All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA) Khamis Saeed Butt and Vice President Khawaja Nadeem Saeed Wayeen at a reception in honor of APPMA member and MNA-elect Waheed Alam Khan. APPMA President Muhammad Ajmal and a large number of businessmen were also present on the occasion.

Khamis Saeed Butt and Khawaja Nadeem Saeed Wayeen lamented that President Asif was playing role of the silent spectator on appalling energy crisis. He said that malpractices and historical corruption of the previous regime pushed country towards devastation, deprived the people of Punjab by discrimination in electricity and gas supply and now these elements were taking vengeance of their shameful defeat in the recent general elections.

They said that PML-N leaders Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif should take strict measures against the conspirators as the industry in Punjab cannot survive in the present scenario.

They said that accountability of the corrupt elements of previous regime was need of the hour.

While eulogizing the PML-N leaders Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, APPMA leaders said that landmark victory of PML-N was a colossal change and nation has high hopes with PML-N led regime.

They expressed the optimism that PML-N led government will composed a well-thought mechanism to get rid of the energy crisis. They said that All Pakistan Paper Merchants Association (APPMA) was ready to extend best cooperation to the PML-N in the larger interest of the country.

Earlier, the MNA-elect Waheed Alam said that PML-N leadership was determined to solve the issues being faced by the business community as it considers that the private sector is engine of growth and country can not move forward without its cooperation and help.
