Egypt, Sri Lank should develop direct trade ties with surgical manufacturers

SIALKOT: Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan (SIMAP) has urged the Egypt and Sri Lanka to ensure the direct trade and exports of Sialkot made surgical instruments with the Sialkot instead of purchasing the Sialkot made surgical instruments through the other countries, as this step would be beneficial for Pakistan, Egypt and Sri Lanka.

SIMAP Chairman Jehangir Bajwa stated this while talking to the newsmen here Sunday. He said that there were bright opportunities of direct trade and exports of surgical instruments among Sialkot-Pakistan Egypt and Sri Lanka, as these two countries had been importing the Sialkot-made surgical instruments through the other countries instead of purchasing surgical instruments direct from Sialkot-Pakistan. He said that this proposed direct trade would be much cheaper that will also give a boost to surgical industry of Sialkot.

He said that the delegations of Sialkot based surgical instruments exporters would soon attend the trade and industrial exhibitions soon to be held at Egypt and Sri Lanka. He urged the Egypt and Sri Link to ensure the developed mutual trade contacts with Sialkot-Pakistan besides ensuring the regular mutual exchange of the trade delegation.

The Egyptian and Sri Lankan Envoys assured the full cooperation for boosting the direct exports of surgical instruments from Sialkot instead of purchasing them through the other countries.
