Egypt, Kuwait officials hold talks on military cooperation

Cairo (IINA) � Egyptian Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Mahmoud Hijazi held talks with Kuwait’s Head of Military Inspection Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ahmed Al-Khader and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting Egypt.

The talks addressed the relations of military cooperation between the armed forces of both countries, as well as the efforts to eliminate terrorism and achieve security and stability in the region.

In a statement by the Egyptian armed forces on Monday, Hijazi underlined the depth of the strategic relations linking Egypt with its brotherly countries, in addition to the coordination and continuous consultation to face up to common challenges.

The talks, in the presence of a number of the armed forces leaders, also dealt with furthering the prospects of military cooperation and exchanging experiences in such a manner that would support the pillars of national security of Egypt and the Arab world in all fields.

For his part, Maj. Gen. Al-Khader lauded the long-standing and fraternal relations existing between the two brotherly peoples and countries. He also highlighted the importance of joint cooperation in the war against terrorism.
