Domestic debt rises to Rs 6.234 trillion in July-October

Karachi: The domestic debts comprising of permanent debt, floating debt, unfunded debt and foreign currency loan, have risen to Rs 6.234 trillion by the end of October 2011, registering an increase of 4% YoY during first four months (July-October) FY12.

According to Alfalah Securities Limited, the rising debt is mainly attributed to higher fiscal deficit, and subsidies which are funded by taking additional debt.
