Display Centre for Pakistani exports set up in China

Karachi: Sichuan sub council of China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) has established “Sichuan International Commodity Display Centre” at World Trade Office building adjacent to FPCCI Chengdu office, which aims at promoting Pakistani export products in China.

This was informed by Tariq Sayeed, former President of FPCCI and patron-in-chief of Pak-China Business Council who held a detailed meeting with officials of CCPIT Sichuan sub-council led by Chairman Mr. Li Gang on 19th October 2011 in Sichuan capital city Chengdu. The meeting was also attended by Mr. Zhao Jiang, Director International Relations and Director Exhibitions and Mr. Zhang Lixia, Bsuiness manager of the Display Centre.

“The establishment of Display Centre is an important step forward towards promotion of Pakistani products in Sichuan province in particular and in China in general” said Sayeed and appreciated the vision of CCPIT for giving greater market access to Pakistan as well as South Asian countries. He also appreciated the Chairman Sichuan sub-council for allocating free space for display of Pakistan exports products. The Display Centre has special allocated area for B-2-B meetings wherein the businessmen from Pakistan would be able to meet their counterparts in China.

“FPCCI Chengdu Office established in 2010 is the first ever overseas establishment while the FPCCI Kunming office at International Liaison city has also become functional for last six months” said Sayeed and added that these initiatives have already helped for further deepening Pak-China relations and growth in export to China from Pakistan is one of the dividends of such initiatives.
