Despite political differences Sindh and Federal governments are enjoying good working relations within the ambit of constitution: Qaim Ali Shah

Karachi, April 16, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said that despite of different ruling parties, the Sindh and Federal Government are enjoying good working relations within the ambit of constitution. He said that we are democratic and working for strengthening democracy in the country. He said that PPP which was dominating political party in Sindh and had formed its govts in centre earlier was following the reconciliation policy of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto in the leadership of Co-chairman PPP Asif Ali Zardari to strengthening democracy.

He said that law and order situation in the province was under control and Sindh was now safe and secure for investment. This he said while talking to the German Parliamentarian Delegation which called on him in the leadership of Niels Annen MP along with Consul General of the Federal Republic Germany at CM House this evening.

Talking the delegations the Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah who was also the President of PPP Sindh chapter, said that Pakistan has been blessed with many constitutional reforms performed by PPP Government during its last government in centre and added that 18th amendment was one of important among them.

He said that now we the provincial governments are enjoying complete provincial administrative and financial autonomy and we are empowered to inter into agreement directly with any country to promote Social, Culture and Economic relations. He said that by virtue of this empowerment, Sindh Government has made many agreements, MoUs with England, China, Turkey, Australia, Korea and other countries for implementation on the projects of infra structure, development and generation of energy in the province.

In the past because of un-representative Govt in the country, we did not achieved substaintional development and we remained leg behind in many sectors said Chief Minister Sindh and added that now we are heading towards progress and prosperity.

He said that Sindh was rich with natural resources and it has great potential of investment. He said that we are producing cotton, cotton yarn, fabric and other agro items including rice and fruits which were popular in Europe. He invited the European Union Countries to increase the Trade Volume with Pakistan for which the trades of Karachi were very much keen to trade with them.

He said that Karachi was an important city of Pakistan and one of the largest city of the region. It has strategic importance specially to trade with countries in South Asia. Talking about menace of terrorism, The Chief Minister Sindh said that it started soon after 9/11 incident and operation against terrorists in South Waziristan.

He said that after launching Targeted Operation against the heinous crime in Karachi and National Action Plan (N.A.P) with the support of Federal Government we have almostly curbed the crime and now whole Sindh including Karachi was much safe and secure to invest and trading activities.

While responding a question The Chief Minister Sindh said that because of its democratic Government, the size of development budget has been raised from Rs. 25 billion to 168 billion and priority being given to Education, Health, Communication and water sectors.

The leader of the delegation MR. Niel Annes MP while talking on the occasion said that during the visit at Pakistan, they have visited many places and held meeting with their counter parts. They were met with President of Pakistan, representations of Civil Society, Business Community, and Political Parties to create more understanding between Pakistan Germany. He said that they were democratic and like democracy in Pakistan. He said that apart from the politics, they also impressed from the economic opportunities in Pakistan, specially in Sindh Province because of its major city Karachi.
