Denmark companies interested to further invest in Pakistan, enhance bilateral trade

Karachi: Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan Uff e Wolffhechel says Danish companies were interested to further invest in Pakistan which has lot of economic potential and will support its energy sector and enhance bilateral trade.

“We want very friendly ties with Pakistan and are international partners through European Union which is very strong economic block,” he said while addressing English Speaking Union of Pakistan ESUP members Friday at local hotel. “We would be happy to contribute in education, health, energy.”

Wolffechel felt Pakistan needs good management of its available energy resources and explore new avenues. Pakistan has great importance in the region. Freedom of expression is very essential to strengthen democracy. He praised Pakistan media’s active role. Denmark initiated training programs for Pakistani journalists especially female and contributing in women empowerment.

He said Danish embassy provides best service to Pakistanis, timely issuance of visas. “We are also presenting wider and positive image of Pakistan in Denmark. We want a stable Pakistan and strengthen bilateral ties further.”

Ambassador said friendly ties between Pakistan & India are very important for peace, prosperity in the region. He noted India & Pakistan supported each other’s membership in UN Security Council.
