Demos in Amritsar, Kolkata, Delhi against IOK killings

Amritsar, July 15, 2016 (PPI-OT):Youth Akali Dal Amritsar, the youth wing of Sikh representative organisation Shiromani Akali Dali, while denouncing civilian killings in occupied Kashmir, staged a peaceful protest at Anandpur Sahib in Amritsar. President of Shiromani Akali Dal, Simran Singh Jeet Maan led the protest.

The party Chief Organizing Secretary, Palpreet Singh in a media interview said that the protesters carried placards and banners seeking immediate end to innocent killings in the Kashmir Valley. The placards and banners read, “Even animals are not tortured so badly as Indian forces torturing people in Kashmir”, “Stop human rights violations, where are human rights in Kashmir”.

Palpreet Singh said, Youth Akali Dal Amritsar feels the pain of hapless and unarmed people of Kashmir and denounces the atrocities perpetuated on them by India. “It is highly condemnable that youth are being targeted and killed by forces in Kashmir. The authorities have failed to reign in the forces,” he said.

Our organization reiterates that Burhan Wani, Muhammad Maqbool Butt, Muhammad Afzal Guroo and others were not terrorists but freedom fighters who laid down their lives to put an end to Indian occupation in Kashmir, he said. People from all walks of life also held protests in New Delhi against the civilian killings in occupied Kashmir.
