Chinese companies show interest to invest in mining, energy sectors
ISLAMABAD: Mr. Shi Jun, the Vice Governor of Gansu Province, said Thursday that Chinese companies want to invest in Pakistan in the mining & energy sectors.
A ten member delegation headed by Mr. Shi Jun, called on Chairman Board of Investment Saleem H. Mandviwalla and briefed him about the Chinese state owned companies interested in the mining filed of Pakistan.
During the briefing , he said ”We want to bring forth new ideas of scale-economic development ways, metals product level, technological process equipment level and technological economic index to advanced level in Pakistan”.
Mr Jun informed Chairman BOI that Baiyin Nonferrous Ltd, Huaneng Gansu Energy Development Co., Ltd & Jinchuan Group, 3 leading state owned companies want to invest in Pakistan in the mining & energy sectors.
Chairman BOI Saleem H. Mandviwalla, while acknowledging the positive approach of the Chinese groups towards investing in Pakistan, assured all the due support and facilitation on behalf of Government of Pakistan, so as to successfully complete this exemplary project.
