Chief Minister removes two SPs, order inquiry into May 23 incident

Karachi, May 29, 2015 (PPI-OT): Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali shah following the directions of Sindh High Court into the contempt case has ordered removal of two SPs with immediate effect and constituted a two-member committee of senior officers to inquire into the incident of May 23 and report within 10 days.

He took this decision here at CM House today while presiding over a meeting in the light of High Court orders issued into the contempt case of besieging the high court on May 23. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Siddique Memon, Secretary law Mir Mohammad Shaikh and others.

The chief Minister taking serious view of the police action on May 23 constituted a two-member committee of Senior officers of grade B-21, Mr Subhan Memon Chairman Chief Minister Inspection Team (CMIT) and Mr Mumtaz Ali Shah Secretary Works and Services to probe into the matter and submit report within 10 days.

Meanwhile, the chief minister ordered the transfer of two SPs Zishan Siddiqi of South and Asad Raza of Central to report to IG office with immediate effect. Both the police officers were deployed at Sindh High Court on May 23.


Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali has announced Rs3 million reward for SSP West Captain Azfar Mahesar and his team for conducting a successful raid in the area of Orangi and recovering heavy contingent of arms and ammunition. He also appreciating the IG police for such a successful operation by SSP West.
Since the operation was conducted on the intelligence work of ISI team therefore Sindh Chief Minister also announced a Rs3 million reward for ISI team.

The Pakistan Rangers had also conducted a successful raid in a house Orangi area on Sunday night in which a terrorists blasted himself. As a result, the roof of the house caved in which three terrorists killed and one was arrested in injured condition.

On the pointation of the owners of the house another house was raided in which two terrorists were killed in encounter, the third one blew himself up awhile forth one was arrested. From the same house a kidnapped child Fahad Mirza was recovered. The terrorists had kidnapped the child and had demanded Rs30million ransom.

The Rangers had recovered four rockets, six suicide jackets, 10 bombs such other arms and ammunitions. The chief Minister not only congratulated the DG Rangers on the successful operation but announced Rs3 million reward for Rangers raiding team.
