Chairman Pakistan Science Foundation lauds efforts of scientists for successful production of Humic acid at pilot scale

Islamabad, April 20, 2015 (PPI-OT): Natural Sciences Linkage Programme (NSLP) is focusing on curtail of the country’s import bill by supporting local industry. In this regard, NSLP has funded a project “To Speed up the Pilot Plant Production of Humic Acid” at Fuel Research Centre, PCSIR Laboratories Complex, Karachi.

Humic Acid is widely known as the soil conditioner and improver and is also known to improve the plant growth. The project is based on the concept of local production of Humic acid to be further exploited as an efficient fertilizer.

The Chairman, Pakistan Science Foundation, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ashraf, visited the pilot plant production unit of Humic acid at Fuel Research Centre, PCSIR Laboratories Complex, Karachi on April 16, 2015. The Chairman PSF lauded the efforts of scientists for the successful production of Humic acid at pilot scale. He stressed the need for distribution of humic acid on commercial scale by employing proper marketing team to attain maximum benefit from the research results.
