Business community, political circles show mixed reaction on fiscal budget 2011-2012


SIALKOT: The Sialkot people, business community and political circles have shown mixed reaction on the fiscal budget presented by the federal government in parliament for the year 2011-2012.

The PML-N MNAs from Sialkot district Khawaja Muhammad Asif , Rana Abdul Sattar, Sahibzada Syed Murtaza Ameen and Zahid Hamid have termed this budget as nothing more than a jugglery of the words, saying that the budget will prove itself as a economical murder of the masses, depending upon the foreign aids.

They said that the government has announced nothing in this budget for the welfare of the people and curbing the menace of sky-rocketing price hike, unending unemployment and lawlessness. The government has thrown the poor people into an ocean of hunger and poverty this budget, they added.

President Markazi Anjuman Taajran Sialkot Mehar Ghulam Mujtaba said that the budget was total disappointing, as the PPP government has announced nothing for overcoming the aggregating power and energy crisis in the country, which was making the country’s economical future bleak.

On the other hand, local PPP leaders have termed this budget as people friendly budget. While talking to the newsmen here, members PPP Federal Council M. Yousuf Khilji, Matlub Ahmed Warraich, President PPP Sialkot District Malik Tahir Awan, MPA Tahir Mehmood Hundali, Ch. Shaukat Wazir Ali and others, said that the government has presented the best budget, which reflects the aspirations of the masses under PPP’s political slogan Roti, Kapra Aur Makaan. They said that the government has put the country on the highway to political and economical stability despite facing the confronting unavoidable circum stances as well.
