BOC Pakistan Limited rebrands as Linde Pakistan Limited

Karachi: An integration process that began five years ago to create a world leading gases and engineering company Monday reached new milestone: BOC Pakistan Limited officially rebranded as Linde Pakistan Limited, a member of The Linde Group, leading industrial gas supplier in the country since 1949.

Linde today is Pakistan’s leading industrial gases player, with most comprehensive gases product portfolio and turnkey services in the country. Its facilities include air separation plants in Lahore, Port Qasim, Karachi & Taxila as well as carbon dioxide plants at Port Qasim & Multan.

It is presently building a new state-of-art air separation (ASU) plant in Lahore at investment cost of Rs 2 billion capable of producing 150 tons per day of gases products which will be largest merchant ASU plant in the country once it is ready in first quarter of 2012.

Chief Executive Linde Pakistan Yousuf Mirza at news conference here said “we aspire to double size of our business in Pakistan within next five years. We operate in all major industrial areas across the country and committed to delivering quality and reliable services, solutions that create value for our customers.”

Linde’s Head of Cluster Countries for Linde’s gases business in South & East Asia said “Pakistan has been an important contributor to our business in this region and we continue to be extremely positive about many market opportunities to achieve strong and sustainable growth to our business. We will look into possibility of more investment in Pakistan for sustainable economic growth.”

Linde Pakistan has continuously invested to support gases requirements of its customers. It has three ASUs, onsite plants, compressed gases production plants, medical gases hub, special gases laboratory, hydrogen and CO2 facility across the country.
