Belarus and Pakistan should enhance bilateral trade and investment in all spheres, including agriculture and industrial manufacturing: Envoy

Islamabad, February 10, 2015 (PPI-OT): H.E. Mr. Andrei Ermolovich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Republic of Belarus visited BOI to discuss the issue with Minister of State /Chairman, BOI Dr. Miftah Ismail, regarding preparation of the upcoming high level visit of Belarus (Intergovernmental Commission) being held in the Mid of this year.

The Ambassador Mr. Andrei Eromolovich emphasized that both the countries should enhance bilateral trade and investment in all spheres, including agriculture and industrial manufacturing etc. They also to considered signing of MOU between the two investment promotion agencies (IPAs) to boost and strengthen the economic relations. Moreover, the proposal of holding a business conference during the upcoming visit was also discussed and both the side were keenly interested to finalize it shortly.

The MOS/Chairman, Board of Investment, Dr. Miftah Ismail informed him that the Board of Investment is mandated to promote FDI and provide facilitation to foreign / local investors and provide one window facilitation etc.

At the end MOS/Chairman, BOI thanked the Ambassador and appreciated his efforts and intention with regard to upcoming visit, signing of MOU and boost the relation between the two countries and also assured them full support of Board of Investment to implement all the proposals in its true spirit.
