BASF Chemicals participates in German Expo – A industrial road show organised by German Embassy to strengthen existing ties between the two countries – BASF displayed its comprehensive portfolio of products and solutions for the local industries

Karachi: The German Embassy, in cooperation with the Pakistan German Business Forum (PGBF) and German-linked companies and institutions active in Pakistan organised a unique exhibition titled “Germany on the Road” aimed at increasing positive connections with local business community and industries.

BASF Pakistan participated in the event with an attractive and prominent stall area, exhibiting its wide range of innovative products and solutions in the areas of textiles, leather, engineering plastics, construction chemicals, home and personal care, polyurethanes, catalysts and petrochemicals to name a few. BASF’s stall was one amongst the most visited stall at the forum with over 500 footfalls.

The event comprised of a formal opening session at Lahore, attended by high ranking Embassy officials, government functionaries, leading business conglomerates, specialists and customers. BASF used this platform to invite its existing and potential customers.

Speaking about BASF’s presence at the forum, Mr. Qazi Sajid Au, Managing Director, BASF Pakistan said, “The exhibition aims to highlight the role of German companies and institutions in strengthening the Pakistani economy. As a leading German business corporation operating in Pakistan, it was a privilege to get associated with the event.”

We strongly believe that, with our world-class products, technologically advanced solutions and market expertise, we are well-positioned to tap new market opportunities and augment the growth desired”, he added.

“Germany on the Road” has been designed to present the multitude of linkages between Germany and Pakistan by giving German companies, Germany-linked companies and German institutions the opportunity to display their activities in Pakistan under one roof. During the exhibition up-to-date information about Germany as well as participating companies was made available to the attendees. The companies as well as German institutions in Pakistan presented their activities with attractive stalls during the event. Started in Lahore, the German expo has further travelled to Sialkot and Faisalabad in Pakistan so far.
