Ban on sale of skin care products, herbal, traditional, Chinese and various food supplements, imported medicines may result in ill-treatment of millions of patients: Aamir Iqbal

Karachi, December 09, 2015 (PPI-OT):With the reference to SRO 412/2014 by Drug Regulatory Authority; Mr. Aamir Iqbal, Senior Vice Chairman of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Committee on Health Care, humility appealed Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, , Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Minister, National Health Services and application of regulatory and communicated to Ms. Tarra Saira Afzal to intervene directly in the case about the ban on the sale of Skin care products, herbal, traditional, Chinese, and various food supplements, imported medicines.

He raised the issue that due to such steps may result in the ill-treatment of users and millions of patients may affect the trafficking, parallel trade import and ESP, spurious and fake products will be encouraged. According to international practice and international custom tariffs and import policy under the category of cosmetic products already have been classified.
