Arab League hosts quadrilateral meeting on Libya

Cairo (IINA) � The Arab League hosted a meeting in the Egyptian capital of Cairo on Saturday to discuss means to end the Libyan crisis.

The meeting was attended by Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul-Gheit, African Union Special Envoy for Libya Jakaya Kikwete, Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) Martin Kobler and European Union Foreign Policy Chief Federica Mogherini.

The meeting, which began with a closed session, tackled developments in Libya and efforts to settle the ongoing crisis and bridge the gap between the Libyan rivals, in order to resume political dialogue.
