All set to make Seed Companies Registration with Seed Association of Pakistan

LAHORE: The government is all set to make seed companies registration with Seed Association of Pakistan mandatory so that it could be able to monitor – audit the seed business.

To issue a formal notification to this regard, the DG FSC&RD Syed Mohammad Nasir Ali had a meeting with the Executive Committee of Seed Association of Pakistan. The meeting was jointly chaired by Vice Chairman Seed Association of Pakistan Dr Qaiser Rashid and DG FSC&RD.

The issue regarding the seed companies registration with Seed Association of Pakistan mandatory was discussed in detail and on the occasion the DG FSC&RD agreed to pursue the issue with the government.

A delegation of Vegetable Seed Importers led by Dr Abdul Nasir Kasi also had a meeting with DG FSC&RD and it was mutually agreed that a committee would be formed to discuss and review the issue regarding modality adaptability trial for import of vegetable seed.
