Air Chief expresses grief over sad demise of Begum Air Marshal Nur Khan

Islamabad, July 19, 2016 (PPI-OT):Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has expressed deep sorrow and grief on the sad demise of Begum Farhat Nur Khan, wife of late Air Marshal Nur Khan, who breathed her last on Tuesday in Karachi after prolonged illness . Her funeral followed by burial would be held at her native town.

Begum Farhat Nur Khan was a passionate social worker and a great philanthropist envisioned to tap the unexplored talent of PAF women and laid the foundation of Pakistan Air Force Women Association in 1965, says a press statement issued here on Tuesday.

The main objective of this organization is to shape the social, educational, and personal lives of female community in the PAF. Air Marshal Nur khan got married to Begum Farhat in 1952, she stood shoulder to shoulder through thick and thin, providing care and happiness, bringing up the children in the best possible manner. They are blessed with four children, a son Mansoor Khan and three daughters, Sima Bibi, Nighat Bibi and Faiqa Bibi.

The Air Chief paid glorious tributes to the services of the distinguished Begum Farhat Nur Khan. He further said that services and contribution of late Begum Farhat Nur Khan in the field of education and Pakistan Women Association (PAFWA) would never be forgotten and she would always be remembered as a beacon of light and source of inspiration for the generations to come.
