According to directives of Prime Minister, Lowari Tunnel would be completed by March 2016 at any cost instead of December 2017: Eng. Ameer Muqam

Peshawar, July 12, 2016 (PPI-OT):Advisor to the Prime Minister Engr. Ameer Muqam has said that according to the directives of Prime Minister, Lowari Tunnel would be completed by March 2016 at any cost instead of December 2017. He said that project of Lowari tunnel will be completed at a cost of 27 billion rupees which will bring a new revolution in the life of Chitrali people. Engr. Ameer Muqam expressed that Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is taking a keen interest without political affiliation, to remove the sense of deprivation of Chitralis.

He further said that Chakdara-Chitral and Chitral-Gilgit roads will be constructed extremely standardized and will be opened for tourist from around the world. Similarly, work also continues on feasibility to link Chitral via Afghanistan with Central Asia and Tajikistan, Muqam said. He expressed these views while talking to the media personnel after inspecting the Lowari Tunnel on 10th July, 2016.

Before this, Advisor to Prime Minster Engr. Ameer Muqam briefed by the National Highway Authority officials in respect of the construction process of Lowari Tunnel. Engr. Ameer Muqam examined the whole project and expressed satisfaction on the speed and quality of construction process. Engr. Ameer Muqam praised the Chairman, NHA Shahid Ashraf Tarar on the in timely completion of national interest projects.
