Aasiya suspects youth was blindfolded when shot dead

Srinagar, February 08, 2016 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat (DeM), Syeda Aasiya Andrabi while paying tributes to martyred Syed Mufeed alias Raqib, has said that his pictures suggest he was blindfolded when he was shot dead. Aasiya Andrabi in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed concern over surge in the spate of killings of youth, particularly for the last few months.

“The frequency at which the youth are martyred since 2015 is a matter of concern for us. Almost every day, we see them being martyred in various areas. 2015 has seen more suspicious killings of youth which is painful,” she added. “Though these boys achieve their cherished goal of martyrdom, our movement loses its guardians. It is unfortunate that some black sheep sold their conscience and sell the blood of these pious souls for worldly benefits,” she remarked.

She also paid tributes to Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru and said, “Both were great martyrs who sacrificed their lives to free Jammu and Kashmir from the Indian clutches.” She said February 9 and 11 episodes are those blots which have exposed the face of the so-called largest democracy of the world.
