80percent renovation of mazar of Abdullah Shah Ghazi completed: Governor Sindh

Karachi, February 18, 2016 (PPI-OT):Almost 80 percent work of renovation, expansion and provision of various facilities at the mazar of Abdullah Shah Ghazi has been completed at the cost of Rs. 400 million. This was stated by the Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan, here on Wednesday.

He was talking to media persons on the occasion of inspecting the repair, expansion work at the mazar. Adviser to the Sindh Chief Minister on Auqaf, Senator Abdul Qayyum, was also present on the occasion. Ebad said that a new dome of the mazar is also being constructed but the old one would also be preserved as it is of historic significance.

He stated that before the commencement of the project the covered area of the mazar was 4,000 yards which will increase to 48,000 yards. The Governor said that mosque in the precincts of the mazar would also be expanded and latest facilities would be provided at the place for ‘Qawwali’ and the parking lot. A new lift would be installed for the disabled and the elderly.

He stated that it augurs well that during the work on the project the ‘Zaireen’ were not stopped from visiting the mazar. Ebad said that he had requested Bahria Town for assistance in the project and that Malik Riaz and his team evinced keen interest. The mazar of Abdullah Shah Ghazi is being converted in a complete complex, he added.
