7 Palestinians killed by Israeli army laid to rest in Gaza

Seven Palestinians, including two children, shot dead by Israeli soldiers on Friday during the Gaza border protests were laid to rest on Saturday in their hometowns across Gaza.

Thousands of people took part in the funerals of Mohammad Nayef al-Houm, 14, Iyad Khalil Shaer, 20, Mohammad Walid Haniya, 24, Mohammad Bassam Shakhsa, 24, Nasser Musabbeh, 12, Mohammad Ali Inshasi, 18, and Mohammad Ashraf Awawdeh, 26.

Four were laid to rest in Gaza City, two in Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza Strip, and one, the 12-year-old child, was buried in the south of Khan Younis.

During Friday’s protests, more than 500 demonstrators suffered various kinds of injuries, including 90 from live bullet wounds, four of them reported to be in critical condition. Among the injured, 35 were children, 4 women, four paramedics � one of them sustained a live bullet � and two journalists.
