Jordan’s state airline suspends flights to Iraqi city of Najaf

Jordan had suspended four weekly flights to Iraqi city of Najaf due to security situation.

In a statement, Royal Jordanian said Najaf is the ninth destination in the region from Mosul in Iraq to Aden and Sanaa in Yemen to which it has suspended flights due to turmoil in recent years

Mian Iftikhar vows to work for welfare of masses

Central General Secretary of Awami National Party Mian Iftikhar Hussain says his party will work for the welfare of common people if voted to power.

Addressing a public gathering in various places of district Nowshera on Sunday evening, he said ANP will actively participate in the forth-coming general election.

He strongly condemned the terrorist acts in Peshawar, Bannu and Mastung.

Mian Iftikhar Hussain said caretaker government should play its due role for conducting free, fair and transparent election in the province.

He urged the general public to vote Awami National Party for bringing real change in the province.

Shahbaz condoles Raisani family in Quetta

President Pakistan Muslim League (N) Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Quetta visited Sarawan House and condoled with former Chief Minister Balochistan Nawab Mohammad Aslam Khan Raisani on martyrdom of his younger brother in a suicide bomb attack.

He also prayed for departed soul of Nawabzada Siraj Khan Raisani.

It is pertinent to mention that Pakistan Muslim League-N has postponed its public meeting in Swat today, due to national mourning over terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Baluchistan.

Now the public meeting will be held tomorrow that will be addressed by PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif.

Efforts underway to promote tourism infrastructure in Balochistan

Balochistan Tourism Department is making efforts to promote and develop tourism infrastructure in the province.

In an interview with APP, an official of Provincial Tourism Department said that efforts are under way to develop tourism related commercial projects for attracting tourists inflow in the province.

He said the department will initiate new projects to further develop Tourist facilities, Hotels, Rest Houses and Restaurants.

He said that more Tourist information centers will be set up to provide relevant information to the visitors.

The official said that the department will also organize cultural shows and festivals to attract tourists at various resorts.

He said that Balochistan is home to some of the most beautiful tourist’s destinations in Pakistan, which attracts a great number of tourists every year.

SC judicial commission to check water quality visit CMC Larkana

The judicial commission appointed by the Supreme Court to look into the quality of water and state of drainage system in Sindh, led by Justice retired Amir Muslim Hani visited the Chandka Medical College and the teaching hospital Larkana.

Justice retired Amir Muslim Hani expressed his displeasure over encroachment of CMC properties and unhygienic conditions at the hospital.

He ordered issuance of show cause notices to the CMC principal and the hospitals medical superintendent.

Mastung incident: Punjab govt offers free treatment for injured

Punjab Chief Secretary Akbar Durrani has offered to provide free medical treatment for the injured of the Mastung carnage.

In his letter to Balochistan Chief Secretary, he said that the best possible medical aid would be given to the injured persons.

He said the Punjab government is standing with the families of the victims and expresses solidarity with them.
