National Council of International Police Association holds Annual General Meeting

Islamabad, April 03, 2016 (PPI-OT): The National Council of International Police Association (IPA) Pakistan held its 4th Annual General Meeting on Saturday, April 2, 2016 in Islamabad. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Muhammad Shoaib Suddle, President IPA Pakistan. Delegates from Punjab, Sindh, KP, Balochistan and Islamabad attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed the activities undertaken by IPA Pakistan during 2015. The President appreciated the efforts of all Regional Committees in promoting the aims and objects of IPA. The President also briefed the meeting about the IPA international conference held in Cyprus in October 2015. The National Council particularly welcomed the silver website award conferred by the Cyprus conference on IPA Pakistan.

The meeting approved the audited accounts of IPA Pakistan for the year 2015. A plan of action, presented at the meeting for 2016, was also discussed and approved for implementation. The plan includes enhanced professional and social activities involving members of IPA Pakistan. The IPA Pakistan expressed its resolve to act proactively to strengthen the existing links between IPA community, both locally and internationally.

Islamabad Police arrests nine outlaws and seizes narcotic and wine

Islamabad, March 27, 2016 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Police have arrested nine outlaws arrested from various areas of the city and recovered 1.150 kilogram hashish, 200 gram heroine, 65 litres wine, weapons and other stolen items from their possession, a police spokesman said. He said that, Aabpara police arrested accuse Khalil Muneer and recovered 1150 gram hashish and 200 gram heroine from him.

Shalimar police arrested Haman and recovered 50 litres wine from him. CIA police arrested two accused Muhammad Shabbir and Muhammad Shiraz and recovered 02 illicit pistols along with ammunition. Khana police arrested two accused Irfan and Fanous and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol and 15 litre wine from their possession.

Police team also apprehended two afghan National accused Asghar Khan and Muhammad Yaseen. Koral police arrested accuse Muhammad Azeem and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol from him. Further investigation is underway from arrested accused. SSP Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in the city and curb activities of anti-social elements.

Islamabad Police arrests five outlaws and seizes narcotics

Islamabad, March 14, 2016 (PPI-OT):Islamabad police have arrested five outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 1.480 kilogram hashish, weapons and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said. He said that Industrial area police nabbed Shehbaz Wali for having 30 bore pistol while anti-car lifting cell of Islamabad police arrested Shahid in possession of 1.250 kilogram hashish. Shahzad town police apprehended Nazakat during routine patrolling and recovered 155 gram heroin from him.

Khana police held Shahzad and Naeem Akhtar for having 230 gram hashish and 22 bore guns respectively. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Meanwhile, two professional alm-seekers were also held. While reviewing this overall performance, SSP Islamabad appreciated it and further directed all police officials to accelerate efforts in curbing activities of criminal elements.

Islamabad Police arrests 37 outlaws and sizes narcotics and weapons

Islamabad, March 08, 2016 (PPI-OT):Islamabad Police have arrested 37 outlaws including 30 beggars from various areas of the city and recovered hashish, heroine, weapons as well as stolen property from their possession, a police spokesman said. According to details, Golra police arrested two accused Khurram Shahzad and Muhammad Asif and recovered 400 gram heroine and 20 bullets of 30 bore from their possession.

Shalimar police apprehended two persons Akram Zia and Muhammad Zeeshan involved in illegally oil selling. Sabzi Mandi police arrested two accused Abaid Ahmed and Hafiz and Abdullah and 2500 gram hashish and 110 gram heroin from their possession.

Khana police arrested accuse Zaman Wali and recovered one 30 bore illicit pistol along with ammunition from him. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway. Furthermore police arrested 30 professional alm- Seekers beggars. SSP Islamabad has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to ensure effective policing measures in the city and curb activities of anti-social elements.

Floral wreath laid on grave of martyred police official

Islamabad, February 16, 2016 (PPI-OT): On behalf of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Minister for Interior and Secretary Interior, Senior Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) laid floral wreath on grave of martyred head constable of Islamabad police. According to details, Imtiaz Ahmed was martyred by unknown persons during firing at police picket in Industrial area police station and he was laid to rest at his native village ‘Lundiawala’ tehsil Jaranwala with official honour. A smartly turned out contingent of Islamabad police presented guard of honour and SSP (Headquarters) Rana Tahir ur Rehman paid tributes to the gallant cop.

Following the directions of Minister for Interior Ch. Nisar Ali Khan, the SSP (Headquarters) also visited the house of martyred policeman who sacrificed his life in the line of duty. He condoled with the family members of martyred cop and said that all law enforcement agencies are proud of bravery of Imtiaz Ahmed demonstrated by him during firing by the assailants on police picket.

On behalf of Prime Minister of Pakistan, Minister for Interior and Secretary Interior, the SSP (Headquarters) laid floral wreath on grave of martyred head constable Imtiaz Ahmed and said that Islamabad Police would never forget their martyrs who sacrificed their lives for out bright as well as secure future of country. He said there is no compensation to life, however, problems of families of martyred personnel would be solved and they would be treated as family of Islamabad police.

Islamabad Police arrests 16 outlaws including five gamblers

Islamabad, February 03, 2016 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Police have arrested 16 outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered narcotics, snatched cash and valuables from their possession, a police spokesman said. On a tip off, Nilor police team arrested five gamblers red handed and recovered stake money, valuables and gambling tools from them. The nabbed persons have been identified as Walayat, Javed, Habib, Hadayat and Zeeshan.

Meanwhile Aabpara police arrested Haroon Masih and recovered 350 gram heroin from him. Tarnol police apprehended four persons Sohaib, Waqas, Naseem Khan and Ahmed involved in illegal sale of petroleum products. Lohibher police apprehended five persons Hussain, Ehsan, Ali, Abid Hussain and Ghulam Abbas involved in decanting gas in cylinders illegally.

Ramna Police arrested Adnan allegedly involved in theft. Cases have been registered against these nabbed persons and further investigation is underway from them. Senior Superintendent of Police Islamabad Sajid Kiani has appreciated this overall performance and directed all police officials to accelerate their efforts to curb activities of anti-social elements.
