Country Manager of Centre for Promotion of Imports from Developing Countries arrives Pakistan
Lahore: Mr. van Luijn, pointed out the huge untapped potential for products in home decoration and home textiles as well as the agriculture and food processing sectors for exports to the EU.
Mr. Van told that CBI’s had made available its two new Export Coaching Programs (ECP) to assist companies in obtaining a firm and lasting position on the EU markets for Home Decoration/Textile products and Sustainable Food Ingredients. CBI is currently allowing companies to apply for these programs which are set to begin in May and June, respectively, he added.
Meanwhile Mr. Shjaak Vink, Country Coordinator PUM-Netherlands for Pakistan and Afghanistan conducted a two-day workshop at SMEDA Head Office. Some 30 participants from Lahore, Gujranwala, Daska and Mian Channu benefited from the seminars and showed interest in availing the Free Senior Volunteer facility offered by PUM in almost all sectors of the industry and agriculture.
This is notable that keeping in view the demand of local SMEs, PUM quota of 40 experts per year for Pakistan has been increased to 80 experts from now onwards.
Mr. Asim Qadri- PUM local Representative and Mr. Imran Masood Chaudhry also attended the workshop.
