گوانگژو بین الاقوامی بائیو-فورم مستقل طور پر گوانگژو بین الاقوامی بائیو آئی لینڈ میں منعقد ہوگا

گوانگژو، چین، 4 جولائی 2017ء / سنہوا-ایشیانیٹ/– 10واں  چین بائیو-انڈسٹری کنونشن اور پہلا گوانگژو بین الاقوامی بائیو-فورم 3 جولائی کو گوانگژو، چین میں منعقد ہوا۔ گوانگژو کے ابھرتے ہوئے اسٹریٹجک ترقیاتی نقطہ ہونے کی حیثیت سے 2025ء تک حیاتیاتی صنعت کی پیداواری لاگت ٹریلین یوآن تک پہنچنے کی امید ہے۔

گوانگژو کے ڈپٹی میئر چین زھینگ نے کہا کہ “گوانگژو چین کے تین سب سے بڑے طبی مراکز میں سے ایک ہے؛ پرل ریور ڈیلٹا کی وسیع طبی مارکیٹ پر انحصار کرتے ہوئے حیاتیاتی صنعت نے حالیہ سالوں میں تیزی سے ترقی کی ہے۔ سال 2016 کے دوران شہر کی اسٹریٹجک ابھرتی ہوئی صنعتوں میں حیاتیاتی اور صحت کی صنعت کی اضافی قدر کا 20 فیصد سے زائد حصہ رہا، یوں گوانگژو حیاتیاتی-صنعتی ترقی کے لیے نمایاں پلیٹ فارم بننے کی مکمل صلاحیت کا حامل ہے۔”

حالیہ سالوں کے دوران گوانگژو آئی اے بی منصوبے پر عمل پیرا ہے، جو کہ انفارمیشن ٹیکنالوجی، مصنوعی ذہانت، حیاتیاتی دواسازی ٹیکنالوجی اور دیگر ابھرتی ہوئی اسٹریٹجک صنعتوں کی نئی جنریشن ہے۔ گوانگژو ڈیولپمنٹ ڈسٹرکٹ، گوانگژو کی حیاتیاتی صنعتی ترقی کا مرکز کے طور پر، نے حیاتیاتی-صنعت کلسٹرز بنائے ہیں جس میں گوانگژو بین الاقوامی بائیو آئی لینڈ، گوانگژو سائنس سٹی، اور سینو-سنگاپور گوانگژو نالج سٹی شامل ہیں، اور ان میں گوانگژو سائنس سٹی 430 سے زائد بائیومیڈیکل کاروباری اداروں کا گھر ہے، جبکہ سینو-سنگاپور گوانگژو نالج سٹی نے کئی اہم منصوبوں مثلاً جی ای بائیوٹیک پارک اور بی جین، کو متوجہ کیا ہے۔

گوانگژو ڈیولپمنٹ ڈسٹرکٹ کی انتظامی کمیٹی کے ڈپٹی ڈائریکٹر سن ژیووی نے کہا ہے کہ گوانگژو ڈیولپمنٹ ڈسٹرکٹ میں بائیومیڈیکل صنعتی اداروں کی مجموعی تعداد 1000 تک جا پہنچتی ہے جبکہ نامزد حجم سے زائد رکھنے والے اداروں کی پیداواری قدر 52.3 ارب یوآن ہے۔ صحت سے متعلق طبی صنعت کے کلسٹرز جیسا کہ جینیاتی جانچ کی خدمات، درست تشخیصی ری ایجنٹس پیداوار، مخصوص ادویات پر تحقیق اور تیاری سب ہی کا احاطہ کر رہے ہیں اور اسٹیم سیل کے شعبے میں چین کی نمایاں آر اینڈ ڈی ٹیمیں بشمول پئی ڈوانکنگ، پئی سیوتاؤ اور ڈینگ ہونگکوئی کو ڈسٹرک کی طرف متوجہ ہوچکی ہیں۔ انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ “سال 2020ء  تک گوانگژو ڈیولپمنٹ ڈسٹرکٹ میں بائیومیڈیکل صنعت کی پیداوار کئی سو ارب تک پہنچ جائے گی۔”

اسی روز گوانگژو ڈیولپمنٹ ڈسٹرکٹ میں سائنس و ٹیکنالوجی ڈیپارٹمنٹ کے نائب ڈائریکٹر ژیا جیان نے انکشاف کیا کہ گوانگژو بین الاقوامی بائیو-فورم کو مستقل طور پر گوانگژو بین الاقوامی بائیو آئی لینڈ (گوانگژو آئی لینڈ) میں منعقد کیا جائے گا، جو کہ ہر سال منعقد ہوتا ہے اور عالمی حیاتیاتی-صنعتی ترقی کے لیے “ڈیووس فورم” بننے کے لیے مصروف عمل ہے۔

درحقیقت چین کے قومی حیاتیاتی صنعتی مرکز اور سینو-اسرائیل حیاتیاتی-صںعتی تعاون مرکز ہونے کی حیثیت سے بین الاقوامی بائیو آئی لینڈ گوانگژو میں حیاتیاتی-صنعت کی ترقی کی معمولی شبیہ ہے۔ سال 2011ء سے آئی لینڈ بائیومیڈیکل اور صحت کی صنعت سے وابستہ علاقائی اور بین الاقوامی کاروباری اداروں کے علاقائی صدر دفاتر، آپریشن کے مراکز اور تحقیق و ترقی مراکز کا دیس بن چکا ہے۔ فی الوقت کینگ میڈ ڈائیگناسٹکس، سالیائی اور دیگر 150 منصوبے آئی لینڈ میں قدم جماچکے ہیں، جو کہ صحت سے متعلق ادویات رکھنے والا معروف بائیومیڈیکل تحقیق و ترقی مرکز بنتا جارہا ہے۔

Guanzhou International Bio-Forum Permanently Settling in Guangzhou International Bio Island

GUANGZHOU, China, July 4, 2017 /Xinhua-AsiaNet/– The 10th China Bio-Industry Convention and the first Guanzhou International Bio-Forum was held on July 3 in Guangzhou, China. As an emerging strategic developmental focus of Guangzhou, the output value of the biomedical industry is expected to reach trillions yuan by 2025.

“Guangzhou is one of China’s three largest medical centers; relying on the vast medical market of the Pearl River Delta, biomedical industry has developed rapidly in recent years. In 2016, the added value of biological and health industry accounted for over 20 percent in the city’s strategic emerging industries, Guangzhou is fully capable of becoming the leading platform for bio-industrial development,” said Chen Zhiying, deputy mayor of Guangzhou.

In recent years, Guangzhou has been implementing the IAB program, i.e. new generation of information technology, artificial intelligence, bio-pharmaceutical technology and other strategic emerging industries. Guangzhou Development District, as the biomedical industry development hub of Guangzhou, has established bio-industry clusters including Guangzhou International Bio Island, Guangzhou Science City, and Sino-Singapore Guangzhou

Knowledge City, of which, Guangzhou Science City is home for more than 430 biomedical enterprises, and Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City has attracted major projects such as GE Biotech Park and BeiGene.

Sun Xuewei, deputy director of the administrative committee of the Guangzhou Development District said, the total number of biomedical industry enterprises in Guangzhou Development District reached 1,000, with total output value of enterprises above designated size stood at 52.3 billion yuan. Precision medical industry clusters such as genetic testing services, accurate diagnostic reagents production, research and development of targeted drugs are all covered and top R&D teams in the stem cell field of China including Pei Duanqing, Pei Xuetao and Deng Hongkui are attracted to the District. “By 2020, the output of biomedical industry in Guangzhou Development District will reach hundreds of billions,” He added.

On the same day, Xia Jian, vice director of the Science and Technology Department of Guangzhou Development District revealed that Guanzhou International Bio-Forum will permanently settle in Guangzhou International Bio Island (Guanzhou Island), which will be held annually and committed to forge a “Davos Forum” for global bio-industrial development.

In fact, as China’s national bio-industrial base and Sino-Israel bio-industrial cooperation base, International Bio Island is a miniature of the development of the bio-industry in Guangzhou. Since 2011, the Island has been home to regional headquarters, operation centers, R&D centers of the domestic and international enterprises in biomedical and health industries. Currently, KingMed Diagnostic, Saliai and other 150 projects have settled in the Island, which is becoming a well-known biomedical research and development center featuring precision medicine.

Strong Pakistan-US partnership essential to deal with challenges

Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif

Monday said as longstanding partners and strategic allies, a

sustained and strong Pakistan-US partnership was essential to deal

with the various challenges confronting the region and beyond.

He was talking to a five-member high powered, bipartisan US

Senate delegation led by Senator John McCain, Chairman of the Senate

Armed Services Committee who called on him here at the PM House.

The members of the US delegation included Senators Lindsey

Graham (Republican), Elizbeth Warren (Democrat), Sheldon Whitehouse (Democrat) and David Perdue (Republican).

The Prime Minister was assisted by Minister for Finance Ishaq

Dar, Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz,

National Security Adviser Lt. Gen. Nasser Khan Janjua and other

senior officials.

The Prime Minister apprised the delegation about his

Government’s efforts over the last four years to combat terrorism

and that its success could be measured by the markedly improved

security situation in Pakistan.

He also highlighted the economic turnaround that manifested in

enhanced investor interest and confidence in Pakistan.

Prime Minister underscored his government’s commitment to good

neighborly relations and highlighted various initiatives to improve

relations with Afghanistan and India.

On Afghanistan, Prime Minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s

commitment to support all efforts aimed at lasting peace and

stability in Afghanistan.

He said that concerted efforts were needed for a politically negotiated settlement under an Afghan-led, Afghan-owned peace process.

Prime Minister called a strong partnership between the US,

Afghanistan and Pakistan as a prerequisite for achieving sustainable

peace in Afghanistan.

In this regard, he also stressed the importance of the Quadrilateral Coordination Group (QCG) mechanism to facilitate Afghan reconciliation.

With reference to Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime

Minister expressed serious concern over the gross human rights

violations and brutal repression of unarmed Kashmiris.

He underscored the legitimacy of the Kashmir cause and urged

the world community, especially the United States to play its role

in ending the sufferings of the people of Indian occupied Jammu and

Kashmir.

Senator McCain agreed that continued close cooperation between

the US and Pakistan was essential for securing peace and stability

in the region.

He said the United States of America attached importance to

its relations with Pakistan, which remained a close friend and ally.

The Senators appreciated the contributions and sacrifices made by

Pakistan and the successes achieved in the fight against terrorism.

The Senators also praised the economic turnaround in Pakistan

and stressed the importance of intensifying mutually beneficial

trade and investment cooperation.

Indian Forces Kill 3 Rebels in Kashmir, 35 Civilians Injured

SRINAGAR, INDIA � Police and witnesses say government forces have killed three rebels in a 24-hour long gunbattle in the Indian-controlled part of disputed Kashmir while at least 35 civilians were injured in anti-India protests and clashes in solidarity with militants.

Police said the fighting on early Monday erupted after soldiers and counterinsurgency police raided southern Bahmnoo village.

Witnesses said troops blasted three civilian homes during the fighting.

The gunfight triggered intense clashes after hundreds of civilians marched near the site to help the trapped militants escape.

India and Pakistan control part of Kashmir, but both claim the Himalayan territory in its entirety.

Anti-India sentiment runs deep among the region’s mostly Muslim population and most people support the rebels’ cause against Indian rule despite a decades-long military crackdown to fight the armed rebellion

PM, Air Chief discuss professional matters

Chief of the Air Staff Air Chief Marshal

Sohail Aman called on Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif here Monday and briefed him regarding operational preparedness of Pakistan Air Force particularly training.

The Prime Minister praised the professionalism of Pakistan Air Force

and stated that the country’s forces were able enough to promptly respond to any kind of threat faced by the motherland.

The matters pertaining to PAF developmental strategy and future force

goals were also discussed, a PM’s Office statement said issued here.

Ambassador designated to Japan called on Finance Minister

Executive Director, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Mr. Sami Saeed, called on Finance Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, at the Ministry of Finance on Tuesday.

The Executive Director discussed matters, with the Finance Minister, related to ADB’s various projects and programs, including those in Pakistan. He briefed the Finance Minister on his interactions with senior government officials regarding ADB’s ongoing projects in Pakistan, including the Sustainable Energy Sector Reform Program, the Peshawar Sustainable Bus Rapid Transit Corridor, and the Punjab Intermediate Cities Improvement Investment Project. He said that the Finance Minister’s participation in the 50th Annual Meeting of ADB in Yokohama in May 2017, had enabled further strengthening of relations between Pakistan and ADB.

The Finance Minister appreciated the support of ADB for development projects in Pakistan. He highlighted the work done by the present government to establish the Pakistan Development Fund, as well as the Pakistan Infrastructure Bank in partnership with development partners, in order to further facilitate both public and private sector development projects in the country. The Finance Minister said that Pakistan is keen to continue working with ADB, and other development partners, in order to implement further development projects in the country. He said that successful implementation of development projects will play a key role in enabling higher, sustainable and inclusive economic growth in Pakistan.
